Judge Brett Kavanaugh Added to Updated Voter Suppression Hall of Shame

Let America Vote today added Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Voter Suppression Hall of Shame and updated the website with additional information about each inductee. The purpose of the Hall of Shame is to identify the country’s most active and egregious vote-suppressing politicians and hold them accountable.

“Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s record shows he is wrong on voting rights, siding with vote suppressors over the rights and interests of American voters,” Let America Vote President Jason Kander said. “Judge Kavanaugh has been a staunch defender of un-American voter ID laws that have disenfranchised voters across the country. Now he joins the ranks of the nation’s most active vote suppressors in Let America Vote’s Voter Suppression Hall of Shame.

“Throughout his hearings and confirmation process, Let America Vote will be highlighting Judge Kavanaugh’s record to make sure he answers for his decisions to stop eligible voters from voting.”

The Hall of Shame website has been overhauled to include recent news stories and updated information about each member’s efforts to limit voting rights. Also located on the Hall of Shame website is Let America Vote’s Voter Guide, a toolkit for activists who want to fight back against politicians’ efforts to suppress the vote.
